Adira Nusantara Combat Guide

Master the Silat-based combat system in Adira Nusantara. This guide covers every technique, damage type, enemy behavior pattern, and combat strategy you need to stop dying and start dominating. Updated for the 1.0 launch on July 4, 2026.

Silat Combat Techniques

Adira Nusantara's combat is built around authentic Silat martial arts. Each technique has a specific purpose, and mastering when to use each one is the difference between dying in the Starting Village and clearing the Abyssal Throne. Below is every combat technique, its input, timing window, and expert-level mastery advice.

Elak (Dodge Roll)

B / Circle

Window: 0.3s i-frames at base; 0.45s with Talisman upgrade

The foundation of Adira Nusantara combat. Dodge toward attacks to pass through hitboxes and position behind enemies for Silat Counter. Dodge away and you stay in danger.

Dodging toward attacks feels wrong but is always correct — you want to end up behind the enemy, not further away.

Silat Counter

Automatic on perfect dodge

Window: 3s stun window on enemy

A perfect dodge (dodging through an attack hitbox) triggers Silat Counter. The enemy is stunned for 3 seconds and takes +50% bonus damage from all sources. This is your primary boss-killing mechanic.

Practice perfect dodge timing against the Village Chief until you can trigger Silat Counter on 3 out of 4 attacks. This skill alone carries you through the entire game.

Tangkis (Parry)

L2 / LT

Window: 0.2s window

Unlocks at character level 15. Deflects melee attacks and staggers the enemy for 2 seconds. Higher risk than dodge but rewards with a guaranteed heavy attack follow-up. Does not work against unblockable attacks (red flash).

Parry is a high-risk alternative to dodge. Use it against predictable enemies (Cave Guardians) but never against bosses until you have 10+ hours of practice.

Pukulan Berat (Heavy Attack)

R2 / RT (hold)

Window: 0.8s charge

Charged heavy attack breaks enemy guards, deals 200% poise damage, and is your only way to stagger armored enemies. Essential for Cave of Origins and armored elite enemies.

Always open with a heavy attack against armored enemies. The guard break creates a 4-second window where all attacks deal full damage. Without it, armored enemies take 60% reduced damage.

Serangan Cepat (Quick Combo)

R1 chain (3-5 hits)

Window: Varies by weapon

Every weapon has a unique combo string. The 3rd and 5th hits in a combo deal bonus damage (varies by weapon: +25% on 3rd, +50% on 5th). Interrupting the combo resets the bonus.

Learn your weapon's combo rhythm. A completed 5-hit combo deals roughly 250% of the damage of 5 uncomboed hits. Patience rewards the combo finisher.

Serangan Lompat (Jump Attack)

X + R1 / A + RB

Window: In-air window

Jump attacks deal +30% damage and have a small AoE shockwave. Aerial attacks are the only way to hit flying enemies consistently. Some weapon evolutions add special aerial properties.

Jump attacks are your anti-air tool. Floating Islands enemies are nearly impossible to hit from the ground. The Pedang Langit legendary weapon turns aerial combat into room-clearing power.

Damage Types & Weapon Matchups

Five damage types exist in Adira Nusantara, each effective against different enemy categories. Using the wrong damage type against an armored enemy reduces your damage by 60%. Check your bestiary before entering a new biome.

Slash (Tebas)Golok Machete, Keris Dagger, Celurit SickleUnarmored enemies, Beast-typeArmored enemies (60% reduction)Most common damage type. Use heavy attacks to break armor first, then slash.

Blunt (Pukul)Toya Staff, heavy attack on all weaponsArmored enemies, Crystal-typeNoneBreaks armor and deals full damage through guard. Always open armored fights with blunt.
Poison (Racun)Keris Dagger (innate), evolved weapons with poison gemsOrganic enemies, Guardians (bypasses armor)Village Chief (immune), mechanical enemiesDamage over time that ignores armor. Scales incredibly well with Keris Naga legendary.
Elemental (Unsur)Talisman-infused weapons, evolved CeluritElemental-weak enemies (check bestiary)Matching element Guardians (immune)Situational but devastating when matched correctly. Fire talismans delete Ice enemies.

Enemy Attack Patterns

Every enemy in Adira Nusantara telegraphs its attacks. Learning to read these tells is more important than reaction speed. Memorize the patterns below and you will stop taking cheap hits from enemies you could have dodged.

Combat Mastery Tips

  • The Silat Counter (+50% damage for 3s) is your single most important tool. Every boss strategy revolves around triggering it reliably. Practice until it becomes muscle memory.
  • Dodge toward enemies, not away. Dodging away keeps you in their attack range. Dodging through puts you behind them where most enemies cannot attack.
  • Red flash = unblockable attack. Do not try to parry. Dodge immediately. The Elite Berserker red flash charge will one-shot you at low HP.
  • Heavy attacks break armor. Against any armored enemy (Cave Guardians, Abyssal Knights), your first hit should always be a charged R2.
  • Complete your combos. A 5-hit combo deals 250% damage vs 5 single hits. The damage multiplier on the 5th hit is worth the risk of committing.
  • Match damage type to enemy weakness. Check your bestiary (pause menu {'>'} Bestiary) before entering a new biome. Bringing pierce damage to Floating Islands trivializes the entire zone.
  • Jump attacks are not optional in Floating Islands. Flying enemies are immune to ground attacks. Equip a weapon with good aerial properties before entering this biome.
  • Poison is the best damage type for boss fights. It bypasses armor, deals percentage-based damage, and continues ticking during boss phase transitions.
